Okay. In your Hotmail page, click on Options at the top-right corner, then click 'More Options'.

Now, click on the 'Account details' link under the 'Managing your account' header. You will be prompted to sign in again - do so. In the page that comes up, you will be able to change your display name (along with other information) accordingly.

Yes by account details I clicked the change button to change the display name.
Then I recieved a message that says I can not change my display name. I't won't let me.
