Hi, I'm Mary and I'll do my best to help you solve your computer issue.

Can you tell me how you are playing these movies?

Are they playing from a DVD inserted into your computer?

Streaming over the internet?

From a file you downloaded to your computer?

Is this a new problem or something that has always happened with this computer?

The first thing I would suggest doing is quitting all programs except the DVD player software and see if that makes a difference. If you have any processes going on in the background (especially anything that sucks memory or disk usage) that could cause the problem.

The problem could also be caused by a dusty or scratched DVD. Try cleaning the disk to see if that helps.

If neither suggestion helps, let me know and we'll look at some other possibilities.
