My Magic Jack has stopped working.....it connects to my computer, and dials the number, indicates that it has connected with number dialed, but I am unable to hear the person on the other end.....has my Magic Jack died?

Ok. Are you able to try some other phone with Magic Jack?

Customer :

I tried that; same results....the magic jack still lights up as it always did....but will not connect with a new phone, either.

Ok. Then try this:

Open your Magic Jack window on computer

Nalosin :

Click on Menu

Nalosin :

Then click on Switch to Headset

Nalosin :

then try to call someone and let me know

Ok tried that; got "active call" and "ACK Pending message, but still unable to connect.....

Which router model do you have?

My computer is hooked into a TP-Link, model TL-SF1016D

do not shut-down or restart your computer during the update

It did not work; my phone rang from the number I was dialing in an attempt to call back, but again, I am unable to connect or hear the phone ringing on the other end.
