Do you use a phone headset with Magic Jack or you talk over the computer's microphone and speakers?
Ok. Are you able to try some other phone with Magic Jack?
I tried that; same results....the magic jack still lights up as it always did....but will not connect with a new phone, either.
Ok. Then try this:
Open your Magic Jack window on computer
Click on Menu
Then click on Switch to Headset
then try to call someone and let me know
Ok tried that; got "active call" and "ACK Pending message, but still unable to connect.....
Which router model do you have?
My computer is hooked into a TP-Link, model TL-SF1016D

that will update your Magic Jack
hopefully after update Magic Jack should be working properly again
do not shut-down or restart your computer during the update
or even better do not use your computer until update finishes

It did not work; my phone rang from the number I was dialing in an attempt to call back, but again, I am unable to connect or hear the phone ringing on the other end.
Did you download and update the Magic Jack?
