This did not fix the problem. She raised the resolution but the screen is still over enlarged.
Expert:  Frederick S. replied 4 years ago.
Hi

Then it isn't the resolution

What is enlarged? Internet Explorer? Firefox? Another web browser? Every program?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
everything not only the internet. "change the appearance of your display' takes up the whole screen
Expert:  Frederick S. replied 4 years ago.
And what is the resolution set to?

it was set to 800x600 but now it's set to 1366x768 which is the highest it can go
Expert:  Frederick S. replied 4 years ago.
OK; please try performing a system restore to see if you can go back and resolve that issue.

Please go to

Start menu --> All programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore

Once there, please pick the option that states you want to restore back to a previous date, and go back to before that problem occurred by at least a few days (if possible), and once you’ve picked the date, go through the wizard and then your computer will be restored back to that date (which will require a restart). Let me know how it goes; thank you.

She can't see the all programs/ accessories /tools/ system restore because it is over to the far left of the screen. She is not able to move it to follow the steps you have recommended.

Boot up in safe mode

Turn off the computer

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press F8 until boot options appears

Arrow down to safe mode with networking and press enter

When logged in she will be prompted to run system restore. Confirm and follow the steps to roll the computer back to before this occurred.

its taking a long time to shut down
it says "please do not power off or unplug your device"
Expert:  Frederick S. replied 4 years ago.
Okay. It is installing updates probably. No hurry.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
It didn't say "run system restore" We have 30 possible "run sysem restore" results. What will get the system restore to start.
