error code 0x8007000b on Windows live Photo gallery will not let me edit or open picture library. How can I fix this error

  • Close Windows Live Photo Gallery.



  • Click Start, click Run, type%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery, and then click OK.

  • Delete any existing instance of "OLD_Pictures.pd4" and "OLD_Pictures.pd5."

  • Locate and then right-click "Pictures.pd4" or "Pictures.pd5."

  • Rename "Pictures.pd4" to "OLD_Pictures.pd4" or rename "Pictures.pd5" to "OLD_Pictures.pd5."

    Restart the Windows Live Photo Gallery.

    When I type in the type%...., I get that there is no program associated with this.

    there is not any Old_pictures.pd4 or pd5. There is pictures.pd6

    rename that as Old_pictures.pd6

    restart the Windows live Photo gallery

    I get that Windows can't open this file. Windows needs to know what program you want to use.

    Just select pictures.pd6

    Press F2

    Then rename it.
