How do I disable the touchpad on my windows 7 Dell 1545 inspiron
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows 7 Browser: IE Already Tried: looking for the switch to turn it off in the control panel. Contacted you yesterday and never got an answer
Hi,Thanks for using Just answer.Please follow the below steps to disable your Touch padGo to Control Panel-->Find Mouse (might have to change to View by Small icons)-->Click Mouse-->In Mouse Properties Select Dell Touchpad-->Click Big Arrow-->Click Device Select (top left)-->On the bottom of page tick: “Disable Touchpad / Pointing Stick when external USB mouse is present”Please let me know if you have any concernsWith Regards,Chindhu
I do not see anything about the touchpad when I go to mouse properties

No I dont see any reference to a touchpad when I click on the mouse under Hardware and then select mouse to bring up mouse properties. I do not have my external mouse connected
