Customer Question

The wireless on my Dell Latitude E4310 has ceased to function. The troubleshooter and the Dell wireless panel says "turn on the switch on the side or front" but on this model there does not seem to be a switch. What should I do?

Optional Information:
Computer OS: Windows 7
Browser: IE

Already Tried:
Looked for the switch, which is not there apparently and gone into Dell Mobile Broadband, which tells me to turn on the switch. Is there some other way of doing it?

MrComputer2010 :

The wireless switch is located on the right side just under the USB port

MrComputer2010 :

Look just above the CD/DVD tray. Its apparently very small

Customer :

You are right - somehow because I now have connectivity!!! Please tell me, is it little sliding switch with an icon of a lighthouse revealed? Not a button, but a tiny switch above the DVD tray?

MrComputer2010 :

yes it is a sliding switch

Customer :

Hooray - many thanks - you fixed the problem - I'd clearly shifted it with unknowing fingers last night and cut myself off.

MrComputer2010 :

ive done it before many times... hmm mostly on Dells also.
