This did not achieve anything (except to lose my chosen settings). still no print facility - same script error message
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.

this is a well known error. downgrading your ie to version 8 will fix the problem.

how to do it:

please go to control panel > programs.

in the left pane, check VIEW INSTALLED UPDATES.

after doing this, find WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER 9 and remove it

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

ran fix it (no.50677) - no luck - still won't print. I'm going to have to leave in a few minutes - what if I just white out IE, can I download IE9 for free/from scratch?
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.

you can again download from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie/home

in this case, you can print from google chrome. it seems the printer driver is not compatible with windows 7.

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
No so - it printed for a while after downloading 9. I've got to leave it now as I have an appointment. If you come across anything please let me know. Thank you for trying butwithout some solution I would like my money back.
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.
when you come back please let me know. we can try to reinstall your printer driver.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
OK - the printer is a well established one - HP deskjet 960c. Will contact you when I get back. My name is Annette, by the way.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I'm back
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Downloaded program - message received 'basic drivers are present and installed correctly' - ran a test print from there successfully. Still getting script error message for all attempts to print directly from IE. It looks as though this one is not solvable in the usual ways.I think I will try what I said earlier (uninstall ie and do a new instal of IE9). So, I will wait until you acknowledge this message and then I will not be on line for a time.
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.
were you able to install ie9? (from the link I gave)
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
that's what I am going to try next
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.

ok, can you try it. i will be here waiting.

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Tried to download IE9. Cuts out part way through download (2 tries). Following the softpedia link and downloaded 'reimage' but they want a lot of money for the fix. Not prepared to pay any more than I have already.
Expert:  Jerry Hannell replied 5 years ago.

i think you downloaded a different program.

let me give you the direct download link

http://www.rizonesoft.com/downloads/cintrep.zip

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
