I have an iPod touch that all of a sudden asks for a password XXXXX the public network 2WIRE771. It's never done this before. I don't know what to enter as a password XXXXX the field.

Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

It looks like you have the 2WIRE router. Please check at the back/bottom of the router for the password; it may be called Security / Network Key.

If that does not work:

What is the exact model of your wireless router?

Do you have a wireless computer/laptop that is currently connected via wireless? If so, does it have windows xp, vista, or 7? Can you click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on Properties, then check if your System type: is 32-bit or 64-bit?
