I need to disable DirectDraw acceleration, Direct 3D acceleration,

Customer Question

I need to disable DirectDraw acceleration, Direct 3D acceleration, and AGP Texture acceleration in Window 7 64 bit. This will allow my workstation software to properly function with my dual 3 megapixel monitors. Please advise on how to do this.

Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

Windows 7 does not let you disable those options, but if you disable Aero and/or switch to classic theme, you might be able to disable those options:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-aero-on-windows-vista/

If that does not work, you might want to try run the program in compatibility mode for windows xp:

Please let me know if there is still any issue later. Thank you.

Thanks,

Thanks for your response. Direct3D acceleration is only partially disabled (it says "partially). I need for this to be completely disabled. Running XP mode does not the solve problem. Thanks - Dan

Sorry, I have searched everywhere and I see those are the only two options to disable direct3d acceleration. I guess windows 7 limits this, but I will open your question to other experts. You will get an email message if there is another possible solution. Thank you.

Thanks,
