3rd master hard disk error

Resolved Question:

My computer is saying that it has a 3rd master hard disk error and will not let me reboot in safe mode. How bad is this? How would I fix it?

Third master hard drive error in 99% of cases indicates one of two things 1.) an issue with the optical drive (CD/DVD/Blu Ray Drive). If you were to remove the drive or disconnect it it SHOULD boot normally. or 2.) The operating system has been corrupted. In which case you'd put in your windows CD to boot into the advanced recovery console and run the fixboot command. Microsoft instructions found here:

The way to know for sure is to go into your BIOS and look at the boot order, whatever is #3 is causing the issue.
