Viet - Computer Tech :

Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Unfortunately, the compatibility mode does not work for all programs/games.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Can you try the latest Axis & Allies at
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ah/aa/welcome+

Viet - Computer Tech :

Also, you can play this axis & allies (1998) game if your windows 7 version is Professional or Ultimate. Then you can download and install the Windows XP mode program at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx
then you run windows xp mode within windows 7 and install and play the game in windows xp mode

Viet - Computer Tech :

You can click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on Properties, then you can see your windows 7 version, such as Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, etc.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Please let me know if you have any further question. Thank you.

Customer:

what a shame the xp mode option is not available on win 7 home premium

Customer:

if i had known some programs would not work i would have continued using Win XP

Customer:

thanks

Viet - Computer Tech :

You're welcome.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Sorry about that. It's how Microsoft makes more money I guess

Viet - Computer Tech :

Also, all new computers come with windows 7 now, so there is not really a choice.
