then check the slingbox software
i have and it indicates there is a connection
coud there be a problem with the ir on the cable box
if both the lights are on and they are stable on the sling box that indicates th slingbox is absolutly fine
you need to get the cable box checked
i can change channels using the remote on my tv screen. so the cable box must be ok
download the latest sling media desktop software
try after you download this
