Hello, Welcome to JustAnswer! My name is XXX. XX is my pleasure to work with you to solve your problems.
What is the model of the computer? Let me know and I will check the beep code.
where can i find the model name?
There should have a sticker on the back of computer
Can you check on that?
sure hang on
hold on a moment
The error is due to memory issue
either not seating well or issue with memory itself
Please open the case, if you see two memory chips on the motherboard
Then make sure unplug the computer, and try to take one out, and plug in, turn on the computer
see if it has beeps
this way we can find the chip that have problem
also try to reseat the memoty
Keep me updated and let me know if you find the one with problem
I appologise ahead of time because I don't understand computer language very well. How do I open the case, and what does the motherboard look like?
please disregard previouse questions. There is only one chip conected to the motherboard. After disconecting it and reconecting it, the computer still beeped when we turned it on.
Can you put that chip in another socket?
Let me know if that works
BTW, sorry to reply you late
If still have beeps, please go to Staples nearby
get one of PC4200 memory like this
Then install this memory and see if there is beep
Keep me updated
