The. new mail keeps coming back after I close out of the link you provided and go to my desk top and like into yahoo.com again. how can I permanently keep my classic mail. Please advise.

I see. Ok, now login to your yahoo mail (Beta) account and click on the 'Help' button in the top left portion of your screen just above the Yahoo Mail Beta logo and select 'Return to original mail'.

Sorry about the issue that you are having with this site.

Please download and install the Firefox browser from the link below:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/

Login to your yahoo mail account on Firefox and then try to switch to classic by clicking on 'Help'. See if you get the same error on this browser as well.

Once you switch to classic on Firefox, you can login alright to Yahoo Mail Classic directly on your current browser.

Let me know how this goes.
