I was going to one more sentence to the completed message and hitting the first letter the screen went blank

Ed_Brown :

have you closeed the window that you were typing the message in yet?

Customer:

Yes

Ed_Brown :

did you happen to save the letter as a drft in the write mail program?

Customer:

No

Ed_Brown :

how long ago did this happen?

Customer:

Ed_Brown :

have you used the cut and paist fucntions since then/

Customer:

No

Ed_Brown :

right click your mouse in the box that you type messages here to me and see if there is a "paste" selection. if so, click it. there is a slim chance that your letter is in your past buffer. try it

Customer:

There is a paste selection but its not highlighted in my drop down window so nothing happens when I click on Paste

Ed_Brown :

ok, that means that your paste buffer is empty... I am sorry to inform you that the letter is not retrevable. may I suggest that in the future, use a test editor on your computer like notepad, word pad or MS word to create your emails (if they are lengthy) then cut and past into your email program. that way, you can save often where in WRITE MAIL you may not have that option unless you use the "save Draft" option.

Ed_Brown :

The problem you experenced is a procedural problem that many users experence. Always save often when you are creating a lengthy prokect
