my compaq percario CQ60 gets really hot on the left hand side. I just purchased a new battery. What could the problem be. I have rebuilt desktops but not laptops. What sould I do?
Already Tried: Just got a new battery as the computer told me it was very low.

one week ago and it was heating before that. I thought the battery might cause it but that isn't so. Also I changed the power settings and went to the lowest that helped alittle but not that much. I do have alot of programs on the couputer.
is the fan vent located on the left side of the laptop?

did you check the link. that model they are showing is not the exact one but dismantling process is same
if that didn't solve the issue then try replacing the Processor Fan as i told you early AMD processor gets high temperature quickly.
