I am trying to install a driver for the URC mx 980 remote.

I am trying to install a driver for the URC mx 980 remote. I keep getting the message that an interactive window station is needed.

Greetings,

- Click Start Button
- Type: devmgmt.msc
- Hit Enter
- Look for Unknown device or Mobile device, Double click the icon for it
(if you are unsure, unplug the MX-980 and it should go away... you will then know you have the right device) Start pressing a button on the remote every 10 seconds or so, so it does not go to sleep.
- Click the Driver tab
- Click update driver
- Select "No not at this time"
- Install from a list or specific location
- Click don't search I will choose to the driver
- Uncheck Show compatible hardware
- Select Microsoft from the Manufacture list
- Select Microsoft USB Sync


Install that driver.

when I click update driver, a window appears with just two messages:

The messages are; Search automatically (and it finds a driver and then says it can't install because I need inter active windows station.) The other message says to browse my computer (no internet search option)

- Download, save, and install Mobile Device Center.
- Right click the remote in the device manager and choose Uninstall. Uninstall it.
- Unplug the device
- Wait 10 seconds
- Plug it back in and complete the installation of the device.
