Please go to Start>Computer>right click on the cd drive listing and click 'Open'. Does it bring up the contents of the disk?

No.

It says "Insert a disc"; "Please insert a disc into drive E:."

Ok, is the Office disk inside the drive? Do you have the 25 digit product activation code for Office 2010?

The disc is in my hand, but only because when I right clicked on the dvd drive to click open the computer spits it out. (I have an HP touchsmart desktop)

 

I do have the 25 digit product activation code.
