I HAVE A NEW ESSENTIO cm 1630. I AM UNABLE TO GET ANY AUDIO AND DRIVER DETECTIVE SHOWS THAT THERE ARE NO BAD DRIVERS. I AM TRYING TO USE BOSE SPEAKERS AND BASS. COULD YOU PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.GENE XXX@XXXXXX.XXX

Can you go to Start->control panel->hardware and sound->sound and check to see if volume is not muted and volume is up?
I HAVE ALREADY DONE THOSE THINGS.
Can you click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on manage, then click on device manager. Then see if there is an problem there. Also open Sound, video, and game controllers and let me know the item(s) under it.
Can you try with another speakers and/or headsets (plug the headsets straight to the sound port on the back of the computer (don't plug in the spakers))?
Actually, open Sound, video, and game controllers and right-click on each of the item(s) under it and click on Uninstall, then confirm. Then restart the computer and the audio/sound driver will re-initialize. Then check.
I have unstilled the sound, video and game controllers. Will now restart.
