Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX i will try and assist you with this.
What make and model is the monitor? Thanks.
Windows vista intel celeron inside is what is on the stickers on the computer. Computer was a gift it is about 2 years old. Not real good with computers.
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX an LCD or a CRT?
Oh, was wondering.
Give me just a few minutes to look a few things up. This is generally caused by a bad connection to motherboard in laptops or a bad ground.
No, I was just telling you what causes this in laptops :)
But I need a few minutes to look up some data, what model is that?
I don't no. Where can I fine that. Sorry
It shoudl actually be between lcd and keyboard or even on bottom.
is that a black or silver model?
on bottom then.
dont drop it :)
How bad is the scroll?
is it just lines that scroll from top to bottom?
Got some numbers for hope i helps service tag cq50139wm p/n fr972ua#aba s/n2ce8341rbp The screen moves realfast I think up. Does it some times them stops.
Oh, ok, thats the walmart laptop?
I don't know it was a gift from daughter. Sorry. Most likely I don't think they could spend alot. Nice gift though..
yeah, they arent to bad.
2 things cause this..
First thing I already mentioned, Can be the connection from LCD to motherboard is a bit loose
Does it ever feel hot to you? I ask that because Second reason this is caused from is heat.
grr, typos bad, sorry
Figure, every time you open and close laptop lid, there may be a sligt tug happeing to the connection to board where it plugs into under teh keyboard
How do I check the bad connection. Some I do have it setting on the table on a place mat. But it does that on my lap also.
yeah, big issue is making sure that it can can suck in air from bottom and blow out on side
The fan running on it ok?
you can also use some canned air and blow it through bottom fan holes and make sure any dust build up gets pushed out. it can actually build up inside like link from a dryer.
Im trying to find some instructions to show you how to check the connection.
Its easier said then done.
Heres a video showing how to deal with high temps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X6Im9L8fmw
I will try the air. It does seem to do it if I move the lid.
Ok, Its teh connection then.
Thats what I figured.
Just a sec,
This may help :) In fact it will.
Service manual for your laptop.
Let me find right page youll need.
Ok, look at page 15 on that shows teh exploded view
Essentailly. where your power button lays at, that strip comes off. and then 4 screws hold Keyboard in place
remove those and you will then have access to the plug from lcd to board
that just pulls out, I woudl pull it, blwo it off, and then firmley reseat it.
wow, my typos are bad today, im sorry about that
now.. the area that pulls off between keyboard and lcd. there may be a slight chance its held in place by 2 screws on bottom. But thats easy enough to figure out. O actually do not think its help in place by screws, just use a precision screwdriver and gently pop it off
But..here we go!
I guess I should turn the computer off and try this.
Um yeah. dont do while on :P
page 52 shows how to remove Keybaord,
its just under keyboard and you cant miss teh wire running from lcd to board obviously.
52 and 57 are the best pages.
But yeah, reseat that amd I still suggest blowing air through teh fan to break up dust.
Whats the amd will try thanks
If not have a cisco program at my school will try that.
You bet, please leave good feedback after you click accept. Its very much appreciated :)
I think you can follow those directions, its very well written and consise :) Youll be fine.
