My Hotmail account is sending out spam emails to people in

My Hotmail account is sending out spam emails to people in my contact list two or three times a day. I have installed Trend Micro Antivirus but I guess the culprit is already in my account. I have ran several full scans and it did find one trojan horse which I deleted but I continue to have this problem on a daily basis. I would like to know how to get rid of this problem without having to change my email address. Also, now Hotmail has blocked me from sending out any real emails because of overusage. Please help. Thanks!!

Sorry I haven't answered but I have just now had time to work on this. I just tried to change my password XXXXX my Hotmail account. It is so complicated that I just gave up. Also I was wondering if there will be a problem downloading the Malware since I already have a virus protector? Thanks!!

1) Log into Hotmail


In the top next your name click the Arrow down button and the Choose options





Then on the Options Page Click Password XXXXX below , Then enter your OLD password XXXXX create a new one

When I click on Hotmail under Account this is the page I get: There's no blank to type in a new password. This is the page I tried to change it on earlier and it gets really complicated.

My computer was sending out spam about every half hour this evening.


I decided to try again and I finally accidentally got the Password XXXXX page to come up.....still don't know how I got it. Anyway...I changed my password XXXXX a "strong" security one; and changed my security question. I installed Malware Bytes Anti-Malware and ran a full scan (see attachment). It has now been about an hour and a half since I ran the scan and it has not sent out any spam emails.


I'm so excited and hope it stays this way. I imagine all my friends will appreciate it too. I will be in touch in a few days to let you know if anything changes. THANKS for your help!!!!!
