Adobe Flash Player by Adobe System Inc keeps popping up every

Customer Question

Adobe Flash Player by Adobe System Inc keeps popping up every time an internet page is loaded. It has a box that says install but will not install. It also has a check box that says do not show again but here it comes. If I don’t click it off fast enough it will close my internet or page I have been on…it’s driving me crazy!!!!!! Help!!

Okay. First off, please download and run the standalone installer of the latest version of Flash Player using the given link, as follows:

Does this resolve your issue all right?

If it doesn't, in Internet Explorer, please go to Tools > Manage Add-ons, then enable the 'shockwave flash object' add-on, if disabled. Done that, check if this resolves the issue all right; keep me posted.

do i need to delete the the flas i have now before installing the one you sent?

It would be advisable to do so, using the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller to remove Flash Player first:

flash cannot be installed because there is a version that may still be running please close all apps that may be running.

That will not show up in your Programs, as it's an ActiveX Control. Now, could you try closing all of your browser windows now, and reinstall Flash Player thereafter?

i uninstalled restarted then installed and restarted it did not fix the problem????

Hmm. Now, do this: in IE, go to Tools > Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab; do you see a Reset button present?

If so, click on that, then click on Reset one more time in the confirmation prompt that comes up. Check if this resolves your issue with the browser itself.

Well, that's not needed; I assume the window prompts you to install Flash Player?

Just the exact wording in the error window. Now - as a test - please download an alternate web browser, Mozilla Firefox, using the following link:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6.12&os=win&lang=en-US

Run and install the browser, then check if the issue with accessing Flash content persists in this browser as well.

Done that, let me know accordingly.

All right. Now, please go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then look for and uncheck the 'Enable third-party browser extensions' option listed.

Done that, click Apply > Ok, then restart IE; does this make any difference to your issue?
