Adobe Flash Player by Adobe System Inc keeps popping up every time an internet page is loaded. It has a box that says install but will not install. It also has a check box that says do not show again but here it comes. If I don’t click it off fast enough it will close my internet or page I have been on…it’s driving me crazy!!!!!! Help!!

Okay. First off, please download and run the standalone installer of the latest version of Flash Player using the given link, as follows:http://tinyurl.com/544drwDoes this resolve your issue all right? If it doesn't, in Internet Explorer, please go to Tools > Manage Add-ons, then enable the 'shockwave flash object' add-on, if disabled. Done that, check if this resolves the issue all right; keep me posted.Regards
do i need to delete the the flas i have now before installing the one you sent?
It would be advisable to do so, using the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller to remove Flash Player first:http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.htmlKeep me posted.Regards
i will get back with you after i do all your steps before i accept. thank you dale
Sure, keep me posted.Regards
flash cannot be installed because there is a version that may still be running please close all apps that may be running.
I have nothing running what do i do?
Did you run the Uninstaller program first?Regards
yes will try again? i do not show fash in my programs just reader
That will not show up in your Programs, as it's an ActiveX Control. Now, could you try closing all of your browser windows now, and reinstall Flash Player thereafter?Regards
i uninstalled restarted then installed and restarted it did not fix the problem????
Now, could you make a note of the exact message you are getting when trying to reinstall Flash Player?Regards
i reinstalled the new flash it installed at least i think its the new one.
Now, in Internet Explorer, please go to Tools > Manage Add-ons, then enable the 'shockwave flash object' add-on, if disabled.Regards
it is enabled
Hmm. Now, do this: in IE, go to Tools > Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab; do you see a Reset button present? If so, click on that, then click on Reset one more time in the confirmation prompt that comes up. Check if this resolves your issue with the browser itself.Keep me posted.Regards
still there
Hmm; now, could you make a note of the exact reference you are getting about Flash Player, and let me know?Regards
yes
Okay, I'm waiting.
i took a picture of it on my phone what is an email i can send it to?
Well, that's not needed; I assume the window prompts you to install Flash Player?Regards
yes then what did you need me t send you?
Just the exact wording in the error window. Now - as a test - please download an alternate web browser, Mozilla Firefox, using the following link:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6.12&os=win&lang=en-USRun and install the browser, then check if the issue with accessing Flash content persists in this browser as well.Done that, let me know accordingly.Regards
i had fire fox already loaded and so far its good no pop ups?
Hmm. Well, would you like to keep using that browser instead?Regards
no thats not a fix
Now, were you able to reset IE earlier, as directed, or did you face any error while doing so?Regards
it reset fine
All right. Now, please go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then look for and uncheck the 'Enable third-party browser extensions' option listed.Done that, click Apply > Ok, then restart IE; does this make any difference to your issue?Regards
it is alreadry unchecked do you want me to check it?
Oh, was it? There you go. Please re-check it, restart IE; your issue should be resolved now.Regards
did not take care of it
Could you go back now, and check if the same option is checked/unchecked?Regards
i did it was checked
Okay. Now, go back to the Advanced tab one more time, then click on the 'Restore Advanced Settings' button. Restart IE, and let me know.Regards
done still popping up
All right. What I'll do now, is opt out and let the other experts try and take this further from here. Thanks.Regards
are we closing this case if so i need my money refunded.
