Does the Internet work if you connect a network cable directly from the samsung notebook to the router?
Please go to Start->Control Panel->Internet Options. Then click on the Connections tab, then click on LAN Settings. Then make sure all boxes are unchecked.
Then click OK, OK.
Can you also change to Home network (instead of Work network)?
i just hooked up to the router directly and was able to get on line...all boxes are unchecked...already tried labeling home network and others too
Can you reset your router?
by using a paper clip and press in the tiny hole of the router, for about 30 seconds.
did that yesterday

Can you uninstall the wireless driver from Device Manager?
Ok, after uninstalling the wireless item from Device Manager. Then restart the computer and try to connect wireless again.
If that still does not work, can you try to connect this notebook to the Internet at another place (besides your home Internet) to confirm whether the wireless hardware is bad or not.
Can you also try with a USB wireless adapter?
now i have no wireless capablilies at all after uninstalling drivers...have had the coputer elsewhere and still could not get on...have not gone to usb adapter...the reason i bought the computer was for its wireless capabilities
the usb adapter is wireless also.
Can you go to Device Manager again, and refresh to see if it can reinstall the wireless driver?
There are two Windows 7 wireless drivers on Samsung website: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/NP-N130. So please download and install both:Wireless LAN,REALTEK (Driver) (ver.2000.4.0201.2010)Wireless LAN,ATHEROS (Driver) (ver.22.214.171.1249)
did that while i was away won't accept download form samsung site same error message again
You could not download from Samsung?
Or you could not install?
Did you download the correct drivers (Windows 7, not XP)?
working in win 7 downloads...my mistake could download could not install
atheros not an option...lan broadcom only option ver 5.60.350.9
So you've downloaded the other one, but could not install either?
working on atheros once again before going to the other one at this moment
atheros finally downloaded and installed...broadband 802.11configuring to install
restarting computer after installation on both
whats next step
Can you connect to your wireless router again?
could not connect wirelessly like before...do you wnat me to connect cable directly to router
Even though it showed connected?
no i unplugged cable to try wireless have internet on cable
Do you see the wireless device exists?
yes but back to square one reconizes router but still get message no internet access
So it shows connected but could not access?
I'm thinking the wireless hardware is bad, but can you check if this laptop work at any other wireless location?
After verifying, then you can request warranty service from Samsung.
i'll do that again...have done so in the past went to mcdonalds parking lot got on one time the next time could not access went to hotel parking lot got on one time unable to do the next time...after attempt today probably need to take it in
Then it's hardware issue. You should have just returned it before.
Well, you can click http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ to contact Samsung support for warranty service.
Sorry about the issue.
