ITTechQ&A :

Hello, Thank you for contacting JA, I am Cris and will assist you with your question.

Customer :

ok lets hear the answer

ITTechQ&A :

First, please go to add/remove programs in control and search the list to see if there is any program related to the search engine.

Customer :

i dont have an add/remove tab

ITTechQ&A :

Click on start, then control panel. In control panel locate add/remove programs

Customer :

i dont mean to sound like an idiot, there is not a program listed by that name. i tried one that said add hardware but it was not the right program

ITTechQ&A :

Please do the following go to www.ninite.com and select 3 programs Ccleaner, Malwarebytes and Revo uninstaller then click get installer. The site will download and install the program for you let me know when done.

Customer :

ok installed

ITTechQ&A :

open revo and see if you can find any program related to i-play?

Customer :

no nothing found

ITTechQ&A :

ok open ccleaner and run cleaner to remove the junk/temp files from your system.

ITTechQ&A :

Then open malwarebytes and click scanner tab and check for updates. When done click scanner tab and run a quick scan.

Customer :

will the malwarebytes let me remove the infected programs or will it make me purchase another program?

ITTechQ&A :

No malwarebytes is a free effective virus scan software.

ITTechQ&A :

Are you running the scan?

Customer :

yes there is already 165 objects infected

Customer :

is that terrible?

ITTechQ&A :

ok wow, it seems your homepage was altered by a virus once the scan is done. Removed the infected objects to get rid of the virus.

ITTechQ&A :

Please bookmark this page and so you can easily get back.

ITTechQ&A :

You will probably need to restart after you remove the infected objects.

Customer :

will a remove button pop up, there is not one right now. that is why i asked if i had to purchase another program

ITTechQ&A :

When you reach the page click on login and use the email you created the JA account with click on "my questions" to get back here.

ITTechQ&A :

When the scan is complete the show infected objects box will appear click there. Then in the next window you will have the option to remove the infected objects.

Customer :

k

ITTechQ&A :

You will probably be prompted for a restart.

ITTechQ&A :

You will not have to buy this program it's free!

Customer :

it did not work i can not get it off!

ITTechQ&A :

Hello?

Customer :

i think it has finally worked, i have went in an rescanned and rebooted again. thanks

ITTechQ&A :
