I accidentaly deleted the shortcut for microsoft word starter

Resolved Question:

I accidentaly deleted the shortcut for microsoft word starter 2010 from my Dock. where can i find it if i cant find it from the start menu to create a new shortcut?

yes and its a microsoft word starter 2010. i dragged it to the Dock from the start menu. then i accidentaly deleted it

Click on start button , Then on the search box type Winword

there are no matches

then open my computer

ok, then there are two folder; office14 and options14

Check there for winword

its all folders with numbers, and MSOO, and OOBESTUB

in the office14 folder type winword on the top right corner search box

come back to the Microsoft office folder then type *.exe in searchbox

I get MSOO and OOBESTUB

but thats what the results were

?do u think i might have just dragged teh actual file onto the dock

then deleted completly when i accidentaly deleted it?

Then paste this "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\WINWORD.EXE"

windows cannot find "C:/program....

You cant find any other exe files in MS office folder ?

nope...i have not purchased one by the way. its just the office starter

Open control panel, Then select programs and Features

Customer:

i see microsoft office starter, microsoft office click to run, and microsoft office 2010

Customer:

and teh wird this is, i can actualy open a new document file

i have it open right now

Press and Hold windows key then press F button, Then type winword on the searchbox

i went to the desktop scree, right cliked and new word document

Is it on C: drive?

i duno...it was there already when i got my laptop. it gave me options when i opened microsoft office 2010. either activate, purchase or use microsoft office

it should be on C drive coz i dint have any cds in....especialy when i dun even have a cd drive

Ok, Go to C: drive , Then Program files .

Customer:

ok

How many folders are there starting with microsoft ?

and another thing is there this other one next to C drive. it says microsoft office click to run 2010. (protected) (Q:)

Open that folder

well i double clicked it and it openes a window with teh title "remove microsoft office click to run. then asks if i want to remove it

Then go to control panel, Programs and features

Right click on the Microsoft office starter and select repair

Customer:

it only gives me two options ; uninstall, and change

Nimman :

Click on change and check if you get repair option up there

Customer:

yes it does, opens a windows that sayas repair office click to tun

Repair it

it is repairing

Now check for the shortcut in start menu
