My mcafee firewall will not stay in the "on" position

You will need to reinstall your Mcafee product. Please try the following:

Uninstall McAfee from your add/remove programs list:
1. Go to start
2. In the search bar type programs and features
3. Select McAfee security center
4. Click uninstall

Then please go to this link, and find the MCPR.exe tool and download it (under step 2):
Right click MCPR.exe and select run as administrator
It will eventually restart your computer with the message "Cleanup Successful"

Then you will need to reinstall your McAfee software. If you bought your product online from McAfee, you can re-download it through your account, go to this link and log-in:

I did not have to reinstall my McAfee as you suggested, as a McAfee update came thru & corrected the problem.
