and then put your e-mail address in the body of the message.

That is not a problem. You can create a new Windows Live ID on the page it takes you to, so that you can post a message on that forum.

Unfortunately, Hotmail is the only company that can provide you with a reset for your account :(

You may want to consider using another e-mail account with Hotmail from now on. You are allowed to create more than one.
