I want to move my aol mail folders to my new gmail account. These are the ones saved on my pc, not on AOL.
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows XP Browser: Mozilla Already Tried: I moved my contacts and mail, but I don't know how to get the folders on my pc. One of my aol screens was hacked, but I'd like to get that one and the other that is still good.

You will need to export the emails within the folders, then recreate the folders in GMail and import the email into them
How do I do that? I need to know for both the active e mail and the one that is discontinued because it was hacked. I understand that everything is on my pc, and I have disabled the backup since the problem.
ok, do you access you AOL via your internet browser or an email program?
I can do either. I was using ie but now have Firefox as well. I also have aol 9.1 software. That's the way I usually sign in.

It will bring your emails from your AOL account into your GMail account
This you can do for up to 5 of your AOL accounts that you have

How about the account that has been deactivated because it was hacked?

once you have regained access, then you can use the mail fetcher from GMail to retrieve the mails
But there is nothing in it. They stole everything - all mail and contacts and everything on aol. The only reason that I think I can get it is that it's on my pc.
ok, you can check if within your AOL you have the Saved on MY PC folder

yes, it is there in the active account, but I don't know about the other. I'll check the desktop.

press CTRL+D
when you open them you should see them
if you cant then they are empty
which will mean the emails are lost
