My new Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 is not working. Light is on, USB is connected. Software was loaded. Mouse does nada!

I did everything included in the instructions, but this mouse does not have a button to sync.

No. 32 bit. I'm on XP Home on a Compaq laptop.

If you have the reciever plugged in and the green light is on, on the top of the mouse and its still not working. chances are it is defective

Josh. This is a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500, and it does not have a green light. It has a blue light on the bottom, but not on the top.
