Hi I am here to help.
Let me know when youre ready.
OK I am ready
Ok so on the laptop having trouble, unplug the AC adapter, and then remove the battery so the laptop is completely off. Hold down the power button for 60 seconds, then release. Plug the AC adapter and battery back in and then try to power it back on.
No, this did'nt work . It sounds like the fan begins running then shuts off
Ok, does any image what-so-ever appear on the screen when pressing power?
Or does the power lights turn on at all?
About how long ago did this problem first occur?
Ok and when did you purchase this laptop?
Right after christmas20010
Ok, the issue seems to be a defective motherboard.
Since the laptop is fairly new, let me check if there is any warranty coverage on it.
Ok on the bottom of the laptop, there should be an Acer sticker that has a Serial Number on it.
Can you give me the serial number?
SNID XXXXXXXXXXX /p>
Ok follow this link here: http://secure2.tx.acer.com/FixMyAcer3/FixMyAcer.aspx
At that website, enter the Serial number: LXPJV020029380788A1601 in the serial number box and hit Next.
On the following screen, you will need to register the laptop so Acer has it on file, and then you should be able to schedule a repair for the laptop.
Also, can you re-type the SNID, but with a period between each number, like (18.104.22.168)
I see you have stepped out of the chat.
Leave me a message here when you get back.
