Hello

The operating system I am using is Windows Vista

My internet browser is Google

I havent tried anything

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
What format are the movies?
Do you want to just copy them to disc, or convert them to a regular video dvd?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello Molinari

They are not movies..........they are videos

If you go to www.imagiers.net you will come to a website where you try to improve your French language. It is a free site, so they allow you to copy their stuff like videos, just to encourage people to learn to speak French. You then click on Youtube and on the next page up comes a list of titles.

The video that needs to be copied now is French Lessons [Verbs for beginners]

I need to learn all these verbs. So I want to copy them onto a disc and take that disc and my lap top wherever I am. I slip the disc into my lap top and away I go. So that's what I want to do ........... I want to use the DVD-R disc (I think it's called) to produce an exact replica of what you can play on the www.imagiers.net website.

Many thanks

Derick

I neede a step by step explanation of how to copy a web page video onto a disc so the disc can be stored and saved and used any time in the future
Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
It works on mine as well as 3 other experts who I had try it out.....

Go to the youtube page of the video, in this case it's:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqKTd2Tpw0Y

graphic

The copy and paste the address into the space on this page:

http://www.gazzump.com/

Then hit download, then go to the format menu and pick avi and hit convert.

graphic

Then when it's downloaded, copy it to a disc, it will be a computer /avi video/movie file that can be played on any computer just by double clicking on it. If you need it converted to the DVD format for a regular DVD player, there are a few more steps to be taken.

I am actually conversing with Maggie P at this time of day.
Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
I was online all day, same time as her, all you had to do was come back to the question.
Now it looks like you will be making a full dvd out of a small file.
You were unable to download the file?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Molinari,

I didn't know that. Why then did Maggie P write to me?

What do you mean "it looks like I will be making a full DVD out of a small file"

You need to speak with Maggie P.

Please remember it has taken a whole day on Saturday, going round and round

in circles trying to answer what I had assumed was a simple straight forward question. We are still continuing with this action today.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Were you able to download the video?
It's going to be hard to burn it to dvd if you haven't downloaded it.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello Molinari

I havent done anything.

I'm waiting for an expert to tell what I have to do to copy a video onto a disc.

I propose to go out and buy some discs this morning.

If you can see this thing through then there has not been any doubt about

Tell me why you should decide to use this abridged version.

The link you gave was the title page for thier account, you have to pick the actual video and use that link from you tube, it;s the same file from
http://www.youtube.com/imagiers#p/f/3/mqKTd2Tpw0Y

All I did was click on the title below it.

[French lessons] Verbs for beginners

It's 34 minutes long, is it not?

This is going nowhere.

If you could sum up in a few short sentences how to copy a video and place it

onto a disc, could you do it?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
That was a popup window...

1. Go to the youtube page of the video
2. Copy the url from you address bar
3. Go to any nuber of online conversion sirtes like: http://keep-tube.com/ or http://www.tubegrip.com/
4. Paste the copied url into the box on the page
5. Pick a format like avi, wmv, or mp4....
6. Download the file to your hard drive
7. See if it plays in windows media player, if not try converting to another format
8. Insert a writeable CD or DVD into your computer's CD or DVD recorder
In the dialog box that appears, click Burn files to data disc.In the Burn a Disc dialog box, type a name for this disc, and then click Show formatting options.Click Mastered, and then click Next. Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Look in documents, or the folder that has your username on your desktop, there should be a folder called downloads or my downloads.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

So I try another video. Go to imagiers and choose imagiers.net. Choose [French lesson of the day] # XXXXX hours to learn the basics. I copy the url from the address bar and get

http://www.youtube.com/imagiers#p/f/5/uIYZ1jrQtIg

Then I go zamzar.com and click on the "download" bar and then transfer the url in to the

Step 1 space. I type in to the second space "wmv" I type in to the Step 3 space my e-mail address. Then I click Step 4 to convert. The message I get is "the file has no extension" "Please select one that has and try again"

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
That's because that's their title page, click on the title in red that is directly below the video, which would be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIYZ1jrQtIg from the words in red : [French lesson of the day] # XXXXX hours to learn the basics then in the next window, copy that address....

The url has to say watch in it or it won't work.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello Molinari

The size of the video 43.4MB

I've done as you say but Zamzar only managed to convert 39% of the video and then

declared a fault and broke off contact. That was using format "avi".

Using "mp4" format ...... the little circle revolved but there was no record of anything

being downloaded.

Using "3gp" format, time to convert 15 mins. 100% converted. They then state that they will send me an e-mail letting me know where I can download the file from.

I will keep you informed further.

Follow the path we have taken and when you get to this stage, click on the download, hold on to it and rest it on the open folder. When you move one or the other they just don't stick together.

This Q and A has been going on for so long and all I want to do is bring it to an end.

The instructions I receive simply do not solve the problem. I will do whatever you ask me to but it is not my fault if it doesn't work. You are the expert. All I can do is try to follow instructions.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello Molinari

I'm sure I stated at the time what happened.

Zamzar sent me an email telling me I could download the converted file.

The email contained an address for me to click on. So I clicked on the address.

http://www.zamzar.com/getFiles.php?uid=9058755163625001279759846&targetID=jtsRUSVJcF0AsBnOWz551uowe9_ZWOP_Ys

The file appeared as a small rectangle on my monitor completely on it's own.

As far as I know I do not have a file called downloads.

There was no option to save anywhere ........... just the small rectangle.

I'm not sure what "dot" you are talking about ........ but you can see the address above.

Perhaps you mean the three letters "php?" after a dot.

To find a home for the downloaded file I clicked on START, then clicked on "Customer" [an abbreviation of my name] then clicked on VIDEO, where I opened a NEW FOLDER, which I thought would be a new home for the downloaded file and where I could always find it.

That is the situation I am now in.

Have you any ideas as to what I should do now?

Let me know what happens.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Hello Molinari

The whole point of this exercise is that I should be able to do this whole routine myself.

The difficulty is that I need you to give me crystal clear instructions that I can follow. Its rather like writing a programme ........... a logical list of step by step instructions. What you should be learning from this marathon is that you need to give your customers a clear list of instructions, written in clear grammatical English that leaves no room for errors.
When you tell me I'm having difficulty in following you its simply because your instructions are so badly written it's impossible to untangle what you want.

So let's start from where we were two steps back. Let me write the list and see if you agree.

I down load www.imagiers.net.
I click on favourites and bring up [French lessons] Verbs for beginners.
I click on Youtube and the video switches onto Youtube.
I click on the heading below the picture and that brings up the address I want with the instruction to "watch"
I then bring up the website www.zamzar.com click on the download tab.
Copy the address, use the correct format code "3gp" and type in my email address.
I click on down load and Zamzar starts to translate the video into a compatible language.
When Zamzar has finished its work it tells me it will send me an email to click on the address it shows on its email.
I click on that address and up comes the translated video in the form of a picture looking a bit like a TV set.
I then need to know how I store that file on my hard drive
Its at this point previously we have been going wrong. You have not been able to tell me how I should be able to store that file on my computer hard drive. Once we get the file onto my hard drive presumably it can be then burned onto a disc. Once I have that disc I know I can use the disc in any computer anywhere I happen to be. That is the whole point of the exercise and as the resident expert you will have solved the problem. I will then be grateful for ever more and I will know the whole routine so well I will be able to copy any number of videos onto discs without anyones help, any time I want.

So Molinari if I have the routine wrong as I have described it then you can amend my set of instructions in anyway you want. As long as you explain clearly every step of the way without trying to hop several points ahead.

So after you dissect this list and makes notes of what you want me to do on a rough pad we can get this problem solved and we will have both learned a whole lot from this experience.

So let's do it................

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
I can't see where you are downloading it to when you click on the link, and you seem unable to figure it out. It winds up on your desktop and you can't copy or move it anywhere and I'm not sure why that is. Usually you are given a choice where to download it to.

You have said nothing happens when you right click on the link.
It should say save target as like the picture I gave you before.

I now suggest adding the downloader to fire fox.
Go to this page and click on the picture, it shows you how it should work:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8174/

Hello

I have no idea whether it is within firefox. I am explicitly carrying out your instructions.

I simply started with https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8174/

EXACTLY what do you want me to do next?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

Do you want to check to make sure I am in Mozilla Firefox

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Look at the top left corner of the browser you are using right now, is there a blue symbol or an orange one?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

In the utmost top left hand corner on this reply page back to you it shows

What looks like a blue coloured letter "E" with an orange band going round it rather like a satellite then it says "I have a desk top computer ............ which was my opening question to you on 10 July 2010 then it says - Just Answer - Windows Internet Explorer

Ok, then go here and download this version:

After it downloads, close the browser, double click it and let it install, then restart the browser....

Do I click on Video downloader for Internet explorer

or

Do I clcik on Download Ant Video Downloader Addon v 1.9 for IE

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
The addon....
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

And what do you mean exactly

What do you mean by AFTER IT downloads ? what is IT

What do you mean by CLOSE WHAT BROWSER? where do I find the browser?

What do you mean by DOUBLE CLICK IT? what do you mean by IT

What do you mean by LET IT INSTALL? what do you mean by IT

What do you mean RESTART WHAT BROWSER...............?

What ADD-ON?

What browser am I using ?

For heaven sake be precise !!!

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
This is what you said:

Do I click on Video downloader for Internet explorer

or

Do I clcik on Download Ant Video Downloader Addon v 1.9 for IE

The second one....

What do you mean by AFTER IT downloads ? what is IT

It is the addon that will allow you to download video directly from youtube without using zamzar.

What do you mean by CLOSE WHAT BROWSER? where do I find the browser?

The browser is what you look at youtube with, it has the little blue "e" up in the left corner.

What do you mean by DOUBLE CLICK IT? what do you mean by IT

The addon file after you download it.

What do you mean by LET IT INSTALL? what do you mean by IT

The addon after you download and double click it, it will install.

What do you mean RESTART WHAT BROWSER...............?

The browser is what you look at youtube with, it has the little blue "e" up in the left corner. You'll have to hit the "x" in the upper right corner to close it. Then start it like you normally do to go to the internet.

What ADD-ON?

The one you downloaded, doubleclicked and installed.

What browser am I using ?

Internet explorer (the blue "e" is up in the left corner)
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I've got nothing on my monitor. Is that right ?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I understood that you click the second one

After that you will need to go through it step by step. I was totally lost.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
It will download after you click it.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

What does IT mean.

I'm sorry but I'm so frustrated. I just haven't a clue where you are going with this and you keep saying "IT" which means absolutely nothing to me.

So I've got a totally empty screen except for this silly useless message that won't go away. I've lost my INTERNET CONNECTION so that now I have to go on a "round the mountains" route. I've lost my internet connection since I clicked on Mozilla Firefox.

And you telling me to do something with this "IT" thing.

Please please please just take me through it step by step so I have something of a clue what I am doing and what I will get if I click "IT"

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.

"I understood that you click the second one"

It will download after you click it. The second one, the one that says:

"Download Ant Video Downloader Addon v 1.9 for IE"

Forget firefox, we were using Internet Explorer, the one with the blue "e"...

Can you see any of the old responses on this page? Just curious...

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I've totally lost my Internet Explorer connection since going on this journey with you and I've got this "Software Update Failed" message to do with Firefox flashing on my screen that won't go away.

Do you know how I can re-establish contact with Internet Explorer?

If can find it I can go though the whole routine again I might understand what I'm doing.

Hello

There is a problem I have.

I burn a video onto a disc and put the disc in for the first time. Take the disc out and test it. When I put the disc back in the slot for the second time to download another video on the same disc. The second time I fit the disc into the slot I can't seem to get the dialog box I got the first time. So I can't tell the computer to "Burn files to data"

How do I solve this problem.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
You have to do them all at once, or when burning use the live file system if you want to add files later:

  1. Insert a writeable CD or DVD into your computer's CD or DVD recorder.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click Burn files to data disc.

  3. In the Burn a Disc dialog box, type a name for this disc, and then click Show formatting options.

  4. Click Live File System, and then click Next.

    An empty disc folder opens.

  5. Open the folder that contains the files you want to burn, and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

  6. On the toolbar, click Burn to disc.

The selected files are copied to the disc. When the disc burning is complete, the disc burner tray will open and you can remove the disc.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I've wasted two because nothing came out.

The third one now. I've downloaded 5 different videos. I've clicked on browse for each one. I saw no indication that they were being browsed. I clciked on youtube and I saw

a small grey square for each video. I placed a disc in that I had burned one disc with and placed that in the slot. Nothing happened so I don't know whether that counts as another wasted disc. What do you think I should do. I can't give any instruction to "Burn files to dsts disc"

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
When you first burnt the video to disc that was it, the disc will not accept any more files, so you have to do them all at once.
When you click browse, all it does is open the folder where they are located. There is a folder inside called youtube.com.
The videos should be inside of it, all 5.
Is that what you are seeing?

Edited by Molinari on 7/26/2010 at 8:36 PM EST
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I have got that far and each video can be opened to show the contents which are

not only the initial adverts.

So I've got them all ready to copy onto a disc.

Shall I sling the third disc and put a new disc in the slot?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Yes, and do it the way you did it the first time, but drag them all to the drive.
Once burned, you will not be able to copy anything else to that disc.

Here's the way microsoft says to do it:

When I click on Browse ........... How do I know what progress is being made and

how do I know when the Browse has finished.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
See what happens if you double click on the drive.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Double click on the computer icon that is on your desktop.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I don't have a computer icon on my visible icons on my monitor.

I can find computer when I click "start" then I find "computer" on a list of items

and click on that word "computer" and that brings up my E drive.

I can find my E drive but when I click on it...........it tells me to slide the downloads

onto my E drive.

However my downloads do not appear on screen as icons to slide over.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Use the browse button like before to open the window that has the files.
Then drag them over.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I dragged the 7 files over, clicked on "Burn the disc"!

The files were being downloaded onto the disc. After a while a message came

"There has been a fault" the slot opened and the disc came out .

I have tried playing the disc on Windows Media and there is nothing !!!!

What next please?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
The disc didn't burn successfully.
It could be a bad batch....
I would buy a few DVD-RW discs, they are rewritable so if an error happens, you can erase it and start over without wasting discs.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I've tried discs from 2 different packs

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Please tell me me how to erase a disc and use it again

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
It has to be a re-writable, a DVD-RW, and not a DVD-R.

All the error says is there's a fault?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

The discs I went out and purchased can be used can't they?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
You managed to do it once with one file.

You said this before:
I burn a video onto a disc and put the disc in for the first time. Take the disc out and test it. When I put the disc back in the slot for the second time to download another video on the same disc.

The problem is if you only burn one file and that's it, more can not be added after that.
The trick is to get it like before when you did the one file, and instead of one, do them all....
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

The discs I use are DVD+R. Please tell me if these discs can be used to obtain copies of the videos? Is it a YES or a NO?

I have copied all the videos......all seven of them. I then carried out your instructions to the letter

I finish burning them all onto the one DVD+R disc and the disc pops out of the slot.

I close all programs put the disc in the slot and the disc does nothing at all.

Why is it not working?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Yes, you have done it at the beginning.

When you put the disc back in after burning, click "start" then find "computer" on a list of items, click on that word "computer" and that brings up the E drive. Right click on it and choose open.
Tell me what you see....
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Where did you see the "list of 15 items"?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

Where you told me look............when I right clicked on E drive

Where is this leading ?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Those should be the videos. If doubleclicking on one does nothing, then right click on any one of them and choose play, or open with and choose windows media player..
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I know the videos are on the disc.

What I'm saying is that when I put the disc in the slot to play the videos back to me ......nothing happens.

Do you understand what I'm telling you? The videos have been burnt on the disc

but there's no way the video will play the videos back.

I've asked you twice if my DVD+R should work. In other words I've put the right disc in to capture the videos. The disc has captured the videos.

So I need to disc to play back the videos. But the disc will not do that.

Do you understand what I'm telling you. Everything has been successful...........

except the fact that the disc will not play back the French language videos

What have you got to say ???

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
As stated before, yes, if the files are on the disc, then again, yes it will work and it is working because you can see them on the disk.

The disc isn't going to magically start playing because you put it in the slot.

What happens if you double left click them?
What happens when you right click on them?
You are saying nothing at all happens, is that correct?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

For heavens sake I've got through to you!!

What do I click there's nothing on the monitor to click on.

So I switched onto Windows Media Centre and clicked to play the DVD.

Absolutely nothing happens.

So what is the answer .............. please come up with something good ?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
When you put the disc back in after burning, click "start" then find "computer" on a list of items, click on that word "computer" and that brings up the E drive. Right click on it and choose open.
Tell me what you see....

You said a "list of 15 items".

What happens when you right click or double left click on one of these 15 items?
Are you telling me absolutly nothing happens at all?

There are there on the disc, you can see them, and nothing happens by either a double left click, or a right click? No menu pops up? Nothing at all happens?

"What do I click there's nothing on the monitor to click on."
One of the 15 items that are on the disc, inside the E: disc window which is opened by going to start, comuter, right clicking on the drive, and choosing open.

"I switched onto Windows Media Centre and clicked to play the DVD.

Absolutely nothing happens."

That's because it's not a DVD, it a data disc holding the downloaded files from youtube.
A data disc acts like hard drive, it doesn't start playing on it's own, you have to open it like you said you did when you saw the 15 items.

This is what happens when I right click on the same files downloaded from youtube:

graphic

If you want to do it with the media player, open up media player, and drag a file from the open window that shows the 15 files over to the media player window.

Hello

About the picture you show entitled "View full image"

Why do you show a different list to me ? Where do you get that list from ? How come you are showing in your picture (in the background......the icons for the various downloaded French videos ?) You must be doing something different to me ?

If I could send an e-mail to your e-mail address I could take photographs of my screen at every stage of your instructions and show them as attachments.

Surely the only explanation is that your instructions, if carried out correctly by me, should result in exactly the same pictures on my screen as on your screen. Do you agree ?

We could spend vital energy argueing instead of comparing pictures to try to discover what the divergence is .

I can come back to answering your questions but I wonder if you agree that we seem to reading from the wrong scripts?

So back to my list of 15 items. I left click on START, left click on COMPUTER,

that brings up the various drives on the right hand side of the screen. So I right click on the E drive, I get a menu of 15 items, Explore, Open, Scan with E Smart Security

Advanced Items, Share, Instant Burn Format, Instant Burn Erase, Copy Disc, Disc Info, Burn to Disc, Nero Backitup, Eject, Copy, Create Shortcut, Properties.

The most likely to me are............

Explore.............left click (Please insert a disc into drive E), right click (Please insert a disc into drive E),

Open........exactly the same as Explore,

Copy Disc.................left click and right click the same result. A rectangle comes up called New Compilation ......on the left of this New Compilation it has DVD Copy and on the right it has choices.........Image, Copy Options, Read Options, Burn

.

Disc info..............left and right click the same result. A rectangle comes up saying Disc Info. At the bottom is information E: HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC+120L in the middle a message "No disc inserted" when, in fact, the disc was insertd.

Copy ............ No result left and right click.

What would you like me to click on ?

Is there any way of discovering if the disc is corrupted?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
By seeing if you can copy the files over to the hard drive or desktop.
Right click on them and hold the right button and drag them to either your desktop, or another open folder window.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

No............. I wonder if the whole of the new DISC is corrupted

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
If you can see the files, the disc sounds like it's ok....

Nothing happens with a left or right click on any file?

What do you mean

"Nothing happens with a left or right click on any file?"

What does this relate to ??

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
The files that are on the DVD.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I only know that these files are on my computer.

I click on "browse" then on "youtube" that brings up the icons of the

recordings of the videos from imagiers.

If I double left click on the icon of the video recording they start giving

out a copy of the French video I copied from imagiers. A right click on

will give the same result.

Is this what you wish to know?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
No, the one's on the E drive (DVD)
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Do you remember we went through those not so long ago.

See just before and just after my reply timed at 9.91 p.m. 28th July 2010

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
You never answered it.
You right click on E, choose either open or explore.
What happens?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
This was the answer I was looking for:

Explore.............left click (Please insert a disc into drive E), right click (Please insert a disc into drive E),

Go into device manger and see if there are any yellow exclamation points next to the drive:

  1. Click on the Start button and then Control Panel.

  2. Click on the System and Maintenance link.

Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the Administrative Tools icon and proceed to Step 4.

  3. In the System and Maintenance window, click on the Administrative Tools link near the bottom of the window.

  4. In the Administrative Tools window, double-click on the Computer Management icon.

  5. When the Computer Management utility opens, click on Device Manager on the left side of the window, located toward the bottom of the list under the System Tools heading.

Device Manager should now appear on the right side of the Computer Management window.

Note: If you don't see Device Manager listed, you may need to click on the |> next to System Tools.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

I don't know where to look ?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
For another disc?
You have no other discs that you know work to put in that drive?
Do you have another computer you could try the non working disc in?

Hello

I placed an audio CD into my other computer and, without doing anything else, it asked me if I wanted to play it.

I then put the DVD with the French language downloads on it (supposedly) and

nothing happened.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
And it's the same for all the discs you tried to make?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

None of the five discs work. I've tried them all.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
If the files are not too big, you might want to try usinf a CDR disc, or get a DVD-RW disc and practice burning, I have given you all the steps and you were able to download the files.

When you burn a disc under the Mastered Format

When Burn a Disc comes up

The Formatting Options

What format do you choose?

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
Mastered, if you don't need to put any more files on the disc.
It is more compatible.
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hello

Have you any idea what might be wrong with my computer. It no longer throws up

a dialogue box when I put a blank disc into iy.

Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
It may niot do that everytime, you can have the dialogue come up by going to compter, E, and clicking on it.
Expert:  Molinari replied 4 years ago.
When a blank is in, go to computer, and click on the E: drive.
Let me know if that opens the dialogue....
