James :

Hi.

James :

The contacts are stored in an email client - such as Windows Live Mail or Microsoft Outlook.

James :

They are not stored in iTunes - iTunes only syncs them between the phone and the mail software.

James :

  1. Open iTunes.

  2. Connect your iPhone and wait for it to appear under Devices.

  3. Select your iPhone. This displays the iPhone Preferences.

  4. Click the Contacts tab, under the iPhone tab.

  5. Select the "Synchronize contacts from" checkbox.

  6. From the menu, choose the program (Outlook, Outlook Express, or Microsoft Address Book that contains the contacts you want to sync with your iPhone

  7. Click Apply.
