EPSON ARTISAN 700, RECEIVING SCANNER ERROR-TURN OFF PRINTER AND TURN ON AGAIN. HAPPENED AFTER INSTALLING NEW BLACK CARTRIDGE. REMOVED NEW CARTRIDGE AND PUT BACK, SAME ERROR READING, UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED SOFTWARE SAME READING, BUT CAN PRINT IF COMMAND IS SENT BEFORE ERROR READING

Thank you for asking us. I will be happy to fix your problem ASAP

Lets try to reset the SCANNER . Please follow the steps:
1)Click on Start button
2)Then go to control panel
3)Go to Add/remove program and in the list find your SCANNER
4)Uninstall your SCANNER from that list and then restart the computer.
5)Unplug the SCANNER for 15-20 minutes and the connect it back to the Pc.
6)Install the updated driver for your SCANNER from the cd as mentioned the installation process in your SCANNER manual.
7)Done

IT PRINTED THE TEST PAGE AND SCANNER ERROR RETURNED

Strange!!! It should have solved the problem for sure. it seems to be some hardware error you need to take the scanner for service. or check it with some local service person.
