Hello UserCustomer first let me thank you for using Just Answer. I`m Joseph Amtmann and I`d like to support you to solve your PC problem.

What you describe, sounds like a problem with the IE security settings.
Initially you might try to reduce the security level just with the slider.

Another option is to try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome, to get your download work.

Good luck and best regards, Joseph.

Hi, as IE is your favorite, lets have a look into the security settings.

open again EXTRAS - INTERNETOPTIONS and choose Security.
Now you click the button Security Level which opens a long list of settings.
Please search for the entry Execution of Active elements not used till now (or similar) and click Activate. Check for all other Active X settings to be activated. Save these settings.
Then try your setup again.

Another setting you can try:
Go to the site where you download webrec
Click on Tools>Internet Options>Security>Trusted Sites>click the button Sites>ADD
and it should put in the URL of this site.

Good luck, JosephJoseph Amtmann40249.9125505787

Oh man, thats a long time !
So maybe you can give me some more hours to check something for you.
I run a surveillance camera in my shop (levelone) via LAN and will check for that specific settings, as I can view it in IE. (I`m not there wright now, will return to in about 10 hours)
And is webrec the only utility you can use?

Best regards, Joseph
