my wireless connection wont authenticate

goto Start>COntrol Panel>Network connection ..

and check the wireless network status connected or not ?

connected, but it seems to be stuck at aquiring network address

right click the wireless connection and disable then again enable it ...

reset the router if that dont wark

Type services.msc

right click the below service and restart

DHCP client
DNS client

yes, i have already reset the router and the cable modem. the computer i'm using for tihs message is connected successfully, it's my other computer that isn't connected. i have sever virus problems yesterday and installed and ran norton antivirus. since then I cann't connect. would it have anything to do witht he Norton settings?

Unfortunately, I had to contact Dell directly and reset my PC to it's originally factory settings. I appreciate your assistance however, it was just way beyond anything we would have been able to accomplish using this system. I do think you earned the $18 and I authorize payment in that amount.
