canon mp480 has error5100 but paper jam is cleared
Hi,The printer has several sensors inside to sense paper jams. A small piece of paper may be stuck on one of them, or perhaps some other debris (e.g. piece of cloth or a wad of dust). Try to shine a flashlight directly into the printer and see if you can find the debris. If not, try to blow air from a compressed air can (like an office duster) into the printer, use short gentle bursts. If you still have a paper jam, take the paper out, disconnect the wires and tilt the printer from side to side in your hands. Then reconnect and try again. If after all this you still have the jam error, one of the sensors may be faulting or may have been damaged when you remove the paper. You will have to get your printer serviced.Thanks,James.
