ACER Laptop wont play DVDs. Windows Media Player cannot

Resolved Question:

ACER Laptop won't play DVD's. "Windows Media Player cannot play your DVD. Resize your screen resolution or color bits...." Bought Nov 27 2009 new. Did play DVD's when I bought it. Has not been hooked up ever to internet. DVD troubleshooter run-->"no problem"
