Hi. My computer screen keeps going blank white. I have tried going to Tools - Internet Options
etc with no success (although I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing when I get there). I've also tried Task Manaager with no success.

When the screen is blank, the only way I can move to another page is to use the key with the windows logo.
Hi,

What website you are trying to open?? Does it happen for all website?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
It seems to happen ramdomly.
might be that page is blank.. please tell me the link of the blank page so that I can check it with my system..

Otherwise you can try mozilla browser to check if this is a browser problem.. please download the mozilla browser from the folllowing link..

Not sure what you mean when you say "link" as the page is completely blank other than "Internet/protected mode: On: which is located at the bottom of the page.
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

it's gone white 3 times since I initially contacted you.

Also sometimes there is a yellow bar at the top of the page that says something about ActiveX. I try to follow the directions that are provided....but that doesn't work either.

First, disable all pop-up killers if you have installed any. If this does not help, see:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=281679

Abstract of that article follows:
For Windows 2000/XP: Login as Administrator or an account with Admin Privileges

1. Click [Start] [Run] type: (Press Enter after each command)

regsvr32 /i urlmon
regsvr32 /i shdocvw
regsvr32 /i mshtml
regsvr32 /i Shell32 [For Windows XP]
regsvr32 oleaut32
regsvr32 actxprxy
regsvr32 jscript
regsvr32 vbscript

2. Restart Windows
3. Open Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Programs. Choose Reset Web Settings

NOTE: Many users have reported that extracting a new copy of Oleaut32.dll file [98/ME] solves this problem. If this does not solve the problem, try IEFix

I do not know how to login as Administrator or an account with Admin privileges.

When I click start, there is no "run"

I'm on Windows Vista

Press "Windowkey+R" together, it will open run window.. Then follow the same steps given in last reply..

Good Luck
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I did the window + R thing. All I got was "Open"

"Run" was not there or under "Browse"

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Ok.. I finally noticed "Run" at the top of the box.

but when I tyle in the commands, I get a message that say I need to check somthing else.

Just check whatever they ask for..
