Take the battery out of the computer?
Expert:  Santonu replied 7 years ago.
Yes, try to start the system with only the charger (without battery) and let me know if you notice same problem.

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I have the computer attached to only the charger. It's about the same.
Expert:  Santonu replied 7 years ago.
Next restart the system and repeatedly tap F8 key (you need to press F8 before windows starts to load)

A menu should appear.

Select Safe Mode and press Enter

Let me know if you notice the same problem while in safe mode

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
The menu came and went before I could press Safe Mode. The icon (circle that appears to be turning) next to 'windows' keeps going around.
Expert:  Santonu replied 7 years ago.
Turn off the system and then turn it back on. Repeatedly tap F8 key to bring the menu
