you need to buy a MALE TO MALE vga cable from your local computer shop.

connect one side to the VGA output of your laptop

connect another side to the vga input of your tv

 

when the connection is OK, in your laptop right click on your desktop. select properties. go to SETTINGS tab.

 

from the dropdown menu, select your external monitor.

also, please check the EXTEND MY WINDOWS DESKTOP TO THIS MONITOR (put a tick)

 

it looks like this

and press OK.

 

your laptop display will be reflected on your LCD screen.
