My computer does not recognize my Maxtor external hard drive. I have misplaced my disk that came with the unit. What can I do?
Optional Information: Computer OS: Windows VistaBrowser: Other Already Tried: Maxtor easy manager to check if outside drive is on. There is no response.

please go to your computer management
(right click on your computer icon on your desktop)
select computer management. go to storage >> disk management
if your harddisk is not initialized, please initialize it by right clicking on it. if it does not have a letter, you can assing a letter from the disk management section.,
