I'm running Win XP home SP3. Browser is Internet Explorer version 8. I just downloaded it.
So, you want to remove msn.com from your home page and bing search from Internet Explorer 8? Please correct me if i am wrong. Also what did you earlier have as your home page instead of msn.com?
Actually this is my wife's machine. She would like Google to appear when she accesses the web. I hate Microsoft and Bing. I'm happy with Google & Internet Explorer.
Open Internet Explorer.Visit the link below:-http://www.google.com/Click the down arrow next to the Home icon on the Internet Explorer 8 toolbar and select “Add or Change Home Page”.Now you can select whether you want to Use this webpage as your only home page”, or “Add this webpage to your homepage tabs”. Click “Yes” to save your changes.Check this picture. After that to remove bingGo to “Tools” and select “Manage Add-ons”.Then select “Search providers”.
You'll see bing, google and other search providers.Select “google” as default.Hope this helps.
