I have two IOMEGA drives. One is model MDHD500-UE....an external

Customer Question

I have two IOMEGA drives.   One is model MDHD500-UE....an external hard drive. The other model is RPHD-U, the eGo external drive. Both USB.   I haven't been using the MDHD500-UE for a while as it was stored offsite as a backup. Now I want to use it and the computer doesn't recognize it, even though I show the correct driver in device manager.   The RPHD-U has worked, then it wasn't recognized....then it worked....now not recognized. I need help! :)

please right click on your MYCOMPUTER icon, found on your desktop, and then select MANAGE



it will load your computer management.

when you are there, please let me know

please click on it. when you are there, you should see your external harddisk there.

 

(by the way, please connect your external harddisk now, if it is not connected already)

both the nice red eGo drive (E) and the 500GB Silver disk drive (F) show up .Both say "No Media"

Actually....I'm not WIDE awake yet, but I was wrong. I forgot that when the eGO drive worked, it is drive "K". c through j are taken with unused slots and used.... SO these two drives are not recognized. sorry

for the eGO drive it is....and I have the correct one (middle) connected. It worked fine yesterday, then last night it didn't. It isn't consistent and I have no idea why. I just have to ask.....I assume there is no way that I can CALL you to make this faster for us, is there? I assume you are helping others at same time.
