Thank you for contacting Just Answer.

First I need some additional information in order to better assist you.

What is the operating system running on the PC?

What is the name of the web browser you are using (such as Internet Explorer)?

What web site are you trying to view?

operating system is vista, browser is internet explorer.I attempted to book a room at a travel lodge & that was the message I got.
Expert:  David L replied 7 years ago.
Ok. There are a couple of reasons why you could receive that message. It could be that the site you are about to connect to is not legitimate. Another is that the certificate used to prove that the site is valid has expired or that the URL has recently changed and the certificate has not been updated to reflect that. Find the lock icon in the browser (usually by the web site address) and double click on it to see the certificate information which will tell you why the message has appeared. This will help you to determine whether or not the site is legitimate.
