have canon EOS 300d Rebel camera and cannot download pictures

have canon EOS 300d Rebel camera and cannot download pictures onto new computer with Vista windows. Worked fine with old Windows XP. Can I get a cd driver download for Vista from your company?

Hello !!

Canon has not provided any special driver for Vista for this camera.

Please try this :

  1. Check that the camera is not connected to the computer and then set the power switch to <ON>.

  2. Set [Communication] in menu option <> [PTP] (and not Normal).


Let me know if this resolves the issue and if it works on Vista Operating system

sorry,did not work...camera nor recognized due to no driver found. Need canon cd to install driver for Vista windows.

Hello !!

Can you please connect the canon camera to computer, keep it on (in ptp mode) and restart computer.

Then see if it recognises it.
