I have a Sony laptop. The key worked fine until tonight. All of the other keys work. I am afraid to fool around with it because I don't want to do more damage.

Hi Jewel,

Thank you for the update. I could not find your exact model number and this is just a shot in the dark, but what I would like for you to do to try to resolve this issue is look on the keyboard and press the following key combination:

FN + num lock

Once you have done this, press the "?" character to see if it displays.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the information provided above.

Thanks!

Can you help me to fix the key. It was working fine until I tried to type something this evening. The Sony model number is: PCG-9L1L. I don't know if I should try to remove the key. I don't want to break it.

Well, I would really like a credit to my credit card. I realize you tried but the situation is not fixed.

Well, I would really like a credit to my credit card. I realize you tried but the situation is not fixed. I would like my deposit refunded. I will take it to a store with a IT person right there.
