I JUST PURCHASED A SONY DVD RECORDER MODEL RDR-GX257 EVERYTHING I TRY TO RECORD I GET THE MESSAGE: COPY PROTECTED CANNOT RECORD THAT'S FROM A TV STATION OR RECORDED VHS NOT A COPYRIGHTED MOVIE. NOTHING WILL RECORD. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!
Already Tried: IT'S NOT A COMPUTER IT'S A DVD RECORDER MODEL RDR-GX257
It sounds like the TV station is sending out the copyright signal.
A lot of TV stations are using it now.
It's called a broadcast flag, you can read a little about it here:

You can get a device that bypasses it.
This is what I use, and I've been able to copy everything ever since.
