Hi,
Do your MP3 songs skip on a standalone player or on your computer?
If it is on a player such as an iPod what model is it?
Do you create your own MP3 files or are these downloaded, If so from where?
Let us know
Thanks
Reply to Eric's Post: Hi It happens on Computer only, and it is happening with Downloaded MP3s as well as CDs that have been imported to MP3 to play on PC. MP3s seem to work fine once they are transfer to portable MP3 players (eg: Cell phones, MP3 walkmans). I thought it was the MP3s but it is not, it's the PC I think. Thanks again
Ok,
Could you press CTRL+ALT+DEL and click the processes tab, Then click the show Processes from all users box in the bottom left.
Let me know how many processes it shows running.
Also which player software are you using?
Reply to Eric's Post: Hi I have 46 processes showing. I am using SonicStage and Real Player. Thanks
First of all could you use this guide from netsquirrel to turn off anything you can from startup http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/msconfig_xp.html
Once you have done that could you tell me what antivirus you use.
Hi I'm using the trial version of ESET right now. Thanks
After using the MSconfig guide how many processes do you have running?
