HI,

By the sound of things your computer power supply has a ground fault.

This is where an electrical connection within the power supply (probably a 5Volt or 12Volt)has become loose or frayed and is maybe touching part of the power supply or computer case so when you touch it it is transferring some of the power to you which is why your machine is shocking you and turning off as the transferred power discharge is enough to take away from the power the machine needs to run.

If you can tell us the make and model we should be able to find you a sutable replacement.

Thanks

Eric
